Rattan Pendants Aren’t Going Anywhere – But We Don’t Want Them To
We’re living in a rattan renaissance, and there’s no signs of the trend fading. (Not that we want it to!) While there are a number of ways to incorporate it into your home, one simple but high-impact way is a rattan pendant. Typically resembling an upside down basket, its a more relaxed (yet totally chic) replacement for chandeliers in dining rooms or bedrooms, or in a pair over a kitchen island. But, basically, wherever they land, they’re fantastic. Whether you’re into the whole boho aesthetic or not, these are worth a look. Consider us obsessed.
Ashley Redmond, Head of Design for popular E-design company Decorist, added instant character to her 500-square-foot tiny “treehouse” with a rattan pendant over her petite dining area.
In this “Scandinavian farmhouse meets mid-century modern bungalow” in Austin, the pendant is a natural element that complements (and doesn’t distract from) the other accents in the room, like the yellow door, patterned pillows, and metallic task lamp.
